So I saw 'The Good Shepherd' last night, and what a great film. At 2 hours and 40 minutes, it sure didn't feel that long. Damon turned in a great performance and Alec Baldwin has yet another suedo-comedic supporting role.
The cinematography by Robert Richardson (Aviator and about a million other great films) was great. Richardson often uses a hard key light on his subjects, but this time around the lighting was more subdued and dark- yet light at the same time. It's as if he was lighting with darkness, if that makes sense. Great work, but 'Children of Men' still has my vote.

Dahlia and Illusionist were beautiful, haven't seen Apocalypto or Good Shep, so my money is on Children of Men- amazing cinematogrpahy.
I am going to see "The Good Shepard" tonight, so will weigh in on that tomorrow.
